(© DW) With the kick-off of the new English-language TV channel, DW will be launching the next stage of the DW - app by integrating a comments function and the ability for users to send their own pictures and videos to DW. This will enable even more interaction with our global audience. You'll have the option to tell us about current events and new developments, which will help give our reporting even more depth, speed and diversity.

The multilingual DW app speaks to its users in 29 languages. From Arabic and Chinese to Farsi and Urdu – users can decide for themselves which language setting they prefer for their information about Germany and the world. That guarantees it global appeal. The app also offers an opportunity for immigrants and refugees presently living in Germany to stay informed about current affairs in their own language.

"Equally important to DW News is DW's improved news and information app for mobile devices," says Limbourg. "It provides live access to all of DW's TV channels and the entire Media Center, including videos, photos and articles. With this app – available in 29 languages – we're ready for the digital future."
