Cultural programme work has traditionally been a key feature of foreign cultural and education policy. The cultural programme by the German Embassy and the Goethe-Zentrum Kampala / Ugandan German Cultural Society (GZK/UGCS) contribute to a vigorous and multi-faceted cultural exchange.
Germany has been promoting the development of sports in Uganda with support from the Federal Foreign Office since more than four decades with 2 long term and over 30 short term projects as well as donations of sport material and equipment for numerous local sport clubs and schools.
